About

I have written over 50 papers and manuscripts, most of which have been published (or are being processed for publication)  in peer-reviewed journals, books and reports. I hold memberships in editorial boards e.g. Journal of Geography and Regional Planning (www.academicjournals.org/JGRP), and am a Technical Reviewer of several other journals including: Journal of Policy and Development, Educational Research and Reviews,  (www.academicjournals.org/ERR) among pthers.  I maintain an active research, writing and publication programme in the nexus of sustainable development. I am leading The Access Initiative (TAI), a programme for institutionalising good governance in the environmental, social and economic sectors in Nigeria. I graduated with a B.Sc. (Cum Laude) in geography at the University of Port Harcourt, undertook postgraduate studies in regional development management at the University of Dortmund (Germany), remote sensing at RECTAS (Ile-Ife), environmental management/geography at the University of Calabar, sustainable (renewable and efficient) energy at artefact (the International Institute for Sustainable Development) in Gluecksburg (Germany). As a consultant to the Canadian Institute for sustainable living: One Sky, my report on the baseline survey and renewable energy research and development case study in Nigeria informed the international conference for realising sustainable energy implementation in developing nations in Abuja and the Niger Delta (21-27 November 2007) and inspired numerous research and development projects afterward. Some of my recent publications are: Lagos, Nigeria: Sustainable energy technologies for an emerging African mega city, In: Peter Droege (ed.) Urban Energy Transition (Elsevier). My article: "Federal government assistance for web-based secondary education under poor socio-economic conditions in Nigeria: Geodemographic and qualitative analysis, June 2008 (www.acadjournals.org)-co-authored with four colleagues- was rated as excellent by scholars. Several of my manuscripts on various aspects of sustainable development are awaiting publication in international peer-reviewed journals. I am interested in collaborating with partners in conducting research, writing articles for publication in his areas of interest.
